This site collects nothing. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no analytics service, no advertising network and no third-party script of any kind. Nothing on these pages loads from another company's servers, so no other company learns that you visited.

This website

There are no cookies. Nothing is stored in your browser, so there is no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Every page is static: the same file is sent to every visitor, and none of it is personalised.

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server access logs, which record the requesting network address, the file requested, the time, and the browser's self-reported identification. That is a technical necessity of serving a website and is used only for availability and security. We do not build profiles from it, we do not combine it with anything else, and we do not share it. Logs are discarded on a rolling schedule.

All fonts are ones already present on your device, which is why the site looks slightly different across systems. That is a deliberate trade: a hosted font would tell a third party which pages you read.

Information you send us

When you contact us by phone or email about a project, we keep what you send: name, employer, contact details, site address, drawings and correspondence. We use it to quote and deliver the work, and for nothing else.

  • We do not sell client information, and we do not rent or trade it.
  • We do not send marketing email. If you hear from us it is about your own project.
  • We share details with third parties only where the work requires it — a permit application to a municipality, structural calculations to an engineer, a credit reference for trade terms — and only the details that particular purpose needs.
  • Project records are retained for the duration of the warranty and for as long as tax and contract law requires, then destroyed.

Photographs of completed work

We photograph what we build, for our own records and sometimes to show prospective clients. Before publishing a photograph or naming a client we ask permission in writing, and a client who would rather not be named is not named. Permission granted once can be withdrawn later; write to us and we will remove the material.

The project write-ups on this site are published with the clients' agreement.

Requests about your information

Write to the shop address on the contact page, or email the general address, and ask what we hold about you. We will tell you, and correct anything wrong. If you want it deleted we will do that too, except where a warranty obligation or a legal retention requirement means we have to keep it — in which case we will say which and for how long.

Changes

If this page changes materially we will note it here rather than quietly revising it. This version has been in effect since January 2026.

Questions about anything on this page can go to the general enquiries address, and a person will answer.
